Vacuum Port Question?

Post by Buffman »

I did a search and wanted to confirm what I read. Is there supposed to be vacuum on the port on top of the TB at idle? or only at increased engine speeds?

There's no vacuum on that port on top of the throttle body at idle due to the throttle plate being closed. You will have vacuum when the throttle plate is open.

okay thank you sir. It was blocked as I was spraying TB cleaner into it and it wasn't stalling the car out. Quick Blast from the Air hose cleared whatevere was blocked in there. Project this week is to take the manny and TB off to clean them.
