Diff for 4EAT vs Manual?

Post by kingston »

Is there a difference from a 92 Legacy SS 3.9 VLSD diff if it's from an auto vs manual?

a shop told me that the auto 3.9 diff and the manual 3.9 diff is different if you want to use the ring and pinions for a 6 speed swap

Both Auto and manual SSs had a 3.9 ratio. The diffs should be the same.

Let's clarify. The rear diff between the auto & manual SS have a 3.9 ratio and are the same.

Also, the 92 MY did not have the VLSD rear diff.
