rebulding a TD04

my friend offered to give me his td04 for free, but he said it will have to be rebuilt, dont know whats wrong with it but it runs okay on his car now. i just want to know, is it hard to rebuild a turbo?

Junk. They aren't worth rebuilding.

A new one can be had for ~$90.
