Winter 08/09 SW Washington Drive

Post by smh0101 »

Okay guys, so last years drive was fun, we got turned around by a sheriff who wanted to arrest Andy, tore up a snowy parking lot, slid through snowy corners, well, Andy and I did... and so did Josh, but yea...

So its time to do it again.

Probably the same route, just earlier in the year so that we can actually get through the pass, instead of running into an ass of a sheriff :D

I'll try and post a pic of the route, and maybe consider some extensions to it ;)

My vote is for the 13th or 20th of December, personally I'd rather the 13th, well, because it was Dec. 21st of last year that my 93 SS was murderized and I'd rather not make Sport Sedan murder a yearly ritual, tradition, or sacrifice... so yea.

So, we'd meet at the Oak Tree Restaurant just off of I-5 NB Exit 21... at 10:00 AM

Image

That is a decent length drive, longer than what was planned last year, but I think it would be hella fun... of course if we can get some people to actually come this year! Instead of me (riding shotgun), Andy, Nick, and Josh

The total length in that picture... whats highlighted blue... is 201 miles.

So, I'm in!

With MY car... assuming its still alive!! lol jk, it will be (knocks on wood)

I'll try to come, if the impreza will be allowed to partake in the fun, that is.

its funny, those tires say "for rally use". cant wait to try them out in the snow or the dirt.

Word to the wise...if the tires you have are actually rally tires...they absolutely suck in the snow...

you'd be suprised just how bad they are. I'm thinkin about putting my 17" bbs's wrapped in summer radials on the impreza to go play in the snow vs the hankook mediums gravel tires on the car now. Just because the tires are designed to run hot not cold. U get em cold and they become hard as rocks and just slide all over the place. That and they are designed to clean out mud and dirt and rocks. And you want a tire that actually holds the snow to it better then that. But good luck! :o
