More like your car sacrificed it's life for her.worunner wrote:Hit by a 2000 or so expedition towing a 20 foot boat at 45 miles an hour. (she was doing around 30-40 when hit) she walked out with a scratch on her arm, but otherwise all good. It pushed the car about 20 feet, and she missed a large tree by about 5 feet. I've always said my car saved her life.

Looks like a 90 or maybe a 100, but I'm probably wrong.

MY grandfather had a Fairmont. Later in life I figured out that they were just fox-bodies. Talk about a sleeper....4 door grandpa-mobile that virtually every Mustang part ever produced will bolt-on to.

Yep, I've personally seen a local teen fix one up & turned it into a 1/4 mile drag car w/ Mustang bits. Damn quick when its fully gutted down!

My first: 1985 Renault Alliance, Navy, 5spd, If I got behind a rig on the highway I could actually hit 70mph! Shook like a mofo though. Never put a drop of oil in her for 2-1/2 years and then one day the engine seized up and that was that. The city of Baltimore took possession of her and held it hostage for unpaid tickets. I let them keep the car, Ha!
