Any CO folks playing at CORE?

This is for non-Subaru related topics. Keep it realistic please.

Any CO folks playing at CORE?

Post by SLODRIVE »

Just wondering if anyone else in Colorado goes here to play in the dirt:

http://coloradooffroadextreme.com/

Their rally stage track (2.4 miles!) is about as fun as it gets IMO. The 10-mile offroad loop is killer too, but NOT at speed in a Subaru (trust me ). For $20 we get to play all day here on the weekends. I can't wait to get our latest Subie out there!

Anyone else been there?

Wow that is cool. I've heard of the place but I thought it was MX only. I haven't had the chance to ride my dirt bike out there yet. I would come out and ride this weekend to check it out before they close for the winter, but I took out my knee riding at IMI this fall :( . After looking at the pictures of their tracks I am more motivated to get into rallyX now. Now I just need to get a rallyX toy.

been out there a few times i think they close during the winter buit id be up for a meet around x-mas if any one else wants to the rally tires are getting dusty in the garage

also if yhou are interested in rally-x you should check it out. the actual rally-x is street car friendly, unless you plan to take your car around the sprint track. their are always people there willing to let others ride shotgun around the track. the colorado rallyx hompage is here. http://www.coloradorallycross.org/ it is a ton of fun and a good group of people. and because i found this in my photo bucket what not to do in an impreza, we had a new suspension at the shop waiting for it so we decided to take the old struts out in style... bad idea

LMAO! Love the jump photos-looks like what we did to out first Legacy!

I definitely want to check out the rallycross scene...I missed November's race since we just got this current (NON-running) car. We'll be there next year for sure.

I also think it would be fun to have an all-Subie day there...I'd love to see a bunch of Legacies turning laps on the dirt oval and the rally-sprint track.

Where up there as much as we can. I'm in the CU sport car club and we try to get up there as much as we can. That place is some of the most fun you can have in colorado and is great bang for the buck.

Here's some footage of the last time i was able to get up there.

I didn't think the CU sports car club was around anymore. It died off after the people who took it up after Mitch Avery stopped organizing events.

I'm going to see what I can do. The SS won't be ready at all, but we might make it in one of the other SLODRIVE Subarus...either a '93 L AWD wagon, or the STi. No promises, but I'm really going to try to make it.
