New to site, my introduction

Post by green91 »

Hello everyone,

I recently picked up a 93 Legacy Sport Sedan 5spd (turbo) and was recommended by someone to check the site out. So far ive been really impressed with the information on this site pertaining to 1st gen legacys!

I come from a family that has always owned subarus, but this legacy is my first. Ive owned several hondas and toyotas.

I am taking pictures now and will be posting a project log soon.

Just wanted to introduce myself!

These are all of the current pics i took today:

The body is in good condition, has had hood/RF fender replaced and clearcoat is toast so it needs paint, but its got a few minor dings so no worries there.

Today i took the seats and center console out and vac'd/steam cleaned the seats are carpet and washed the plastic pieces.. interior looks fantastic and im really impressed how well everything has held up for such an old car. I'll try and take some pictures with everything cleaned and reinstalled.

Onto the bad news... I will be removing the engine here pretty soon. It sounds like its got a rod knock and is definitely down a cylinder. Possibly a broken connecting rod. I've been researching replacement engines and avoid making a thread about it, but i can't find the information im looking for so I may be making a thread in the engine forum.
