swap My91 front brakes to rear? install 93 brakes to front.

Post by SiCkSTi04 »

is this possible? i was at the junkyard when i found a 93 wagon with dual vent front brake system in great shape. so i was thinking could i maybe some how move my front brake calipers and rotors to the back. would it work, are my front brakes dual vented too (91 L)? would the front rotor be able to use the e-brake system if move to the rear? if so i could just swap in the 93 front brake system to my front end 91wagon.

Is the 93 wagon you saw turbo? If not, then the front brakes are not an upgrade for you, they're the same as what you have now. They will not fit on the rear. Just leave it alone.

If you want an upgrade, get Legacy Turbo or 98-01 RS front brakes. They're larger and dual piston.
