Where to buy transmission parts (solenoid c etc)

Post by ericem »

Hey guys, just wondering plan on pulling the transmission on the wagon, but need a source for parts first. I figure if the solenoid needs to be replaced right and seals etc. Now how much does the solenoid usually go for?

Those are going to be dealer parts. I think I paid about $88 for the solenoid and the associated little valve body. There are two gaskets for that little valvebody, and the large gasket for the tail housing.

While it is apart, you should check the transfer clutch and make sure none of the clutch disks or steels are burnt.

Perfect sounds good! Once I get my sedan back and it's certified I will start pulling apart the wagon.

Transmission supply houses, and some transmission shops will sell parts. Even auto parts places can get them if they take the time to look in their books instead of the computer.
Gosh I have a transmission shop near me that has given me some parts in the past, not subaru but still.
