All I got to say is that if you are going to ask a question as STUPID as that. Then maybe, just maybe you should sell me your Turbo Legacy for $500.00cdn like the last sucker did.
Would someone out there please tell me,is the
replacement of Spark Plugs in my 1992 RS Legacy
something the home mechanic should attempt or should I
leave it to the pros, thanks William.
By listening to your question I would say that you should leave it to the pros. But think about it, how hard is it to replace a spark plug in ANY vehicle; small engine or big block? DO IT YOURSELF.
Buy yourself a damn Hanes Manual from CDN TIRE and save tons on the cost of a mechanic, and go and buy yourself a K&N Filtercharger for your airbox.

Dear William, Spark Plugs
Yeah, I'm an experience mechanic and I've posted some pretty dumb-ass
questions on here, mostly in moments of panic
This is no place for that kind of talk. Changing the plugs on some
cars is a real pain in the ass... and if _you_ had any experience,
you would know that.

Dear William, Spark Plugs
If you feel compelled to answer in this manner to any more questions,
please think about it for a second, then remember that you'll look
more like an ass than the person asking the question.
If it bothers you that much, don't respond. I constantly have to
hold back from bashing on people for stupid questions in a multitude
of forums, and i've never felt that my contribution to the discussion
in that way was missed.

Dear William, Spark Plugs
It's funny... if you ever even worked the desk in a shop, you hear
some pretty good ones, and a question about plugs begins to sound
pretty intelligent.
"I didn't think that light meant anything, it's been on for months"
"Well... I decided to wait until the noise got a little louder before
I brought it in"
... and my all-time favorite...
"They only tell you to do that so they can sell more oil."

Dear William, Spark Plugs
Heh.. Yeah, i've heard a few bad ones. Best line i've heard yet was actually
while looking for a Liberty RS to buy..
I checked out one, owned by a teenager. The only thing bigger than the
exhaust and the stereo was the dents all around the car. Anyway, we start
it, and the check-engine light comes on straight away, and stays on.
I point it out, and am told "Oh, thats always on, don't worry. But it'll go
away when you unplug the (car) battery."
He asserted that the car was in great condition, and went fast because of
his huge, loud, exhaust. I don't know how he figured that, because the car
was slower than Dubya, and wouldn't go over about 3000-4000 rpm. (I'm
guessing it was in limp mode)
Needless to say i wasn't interested!
People like that are probably part of the reason people like us pay so much
for insurance, and have police pick on us.

while looking for a Liberty RS to buy..
I checked out one, owned by a teenager. The only thing bigger than the
exhaust and the stereo was the dents all around the car. Anyway, we start
it, and the check-engine light comes on straight away, and stays on.

Dear William, Spark Plugs
Your Turbo Legacy is nowhere near as good as, or worth something like an RS Legacy

Here's a classic for ya " Of course I change the oil I do it every
time the little light tells me to" So the spark plug question doesn't
sound bad at all when you figure he is dealing with an aluminum head
that has had it's share of stripped threads, seized and broken plugs.
