hey guys i emailed subaru about the production numbers for the 91-94 legacy turbos and this was the reply i got:

Dear Mr. Watson:

Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your request. By Legacy SS, I assume SS stands for Sport Sedan. I was not here in those years and do not know if that is what the 1991 - 1994 Legacy Turbo (Sport) Sedans were referred to.

We produced the following amount of Legacy Turbo Sedans from the 1991 through the 1994 model years:

1991 Legacy Turbo Sedan 5-speed - 58 units
1991 Legacy Turbo Sedan automatic - 149 units
Total 1991 Legacy Turbo Sedans - 207 units

1992 Legacy Turbo Sedan 5-speed - 6 units
1992 Legacy Turbo Sedan automatic - 5 units
Total 1992 Legacy Turbo Sedans - 11 units

1993 Legacy Turbo Sedan 5-speed - 25 units
1993 Legacy Turbo Sedan automatic - 45 units
Total 1993 Legacy Turbo Sedans - 70 units

1994 Legacy Turbo Sedan 5-speed - 170 units
1994 Legacy Turbo Sedan automatic - 230 units
Total 1994 Legacy Turbo Sedans - 400 units

Total Legacy Turbo Sedans - 688 units
