Anyone from overseas have the part number for Bilstein Group N struts for
our Legacies (92)?
Still looking for cheap rally suspension....the STI units currently in the
car are pretty tired and the quick fix that has gotten us through the last
few rallies has it's days numbered.
Any suggestions for a rebuildable rally suspension other than DMS?
Think KYB AGX's would hold up? May have a possible source for them at cost,
but would they last?
Mark...any success on the custom set up you were working on? (BTW Big Horn
has you as Production 4...say it isn't so...)
Comments and suggestions welcome...

I have been doing a lot of research on the suspension detail. I think the
AGX would *probably* hold up for a while. I have found a couple of companies
that look as tough as the DMS but settling in around the 4000 cdn area for
all 4 with springs. Byron didnt really want to go ahead with the suspension.
I think he thought that there was too many companies out ther already. You
might want to think about just replacing the STI struts. They are not that
expensive. you have the springs for them already. My GF bought me a japanese
legacy source book on saturday. Pretty cool stuff. Mostly for the newer
model but lots of reference to our legacy. Everything from clutches to
suspension to flashed ECU's (on exchange, about 800cdn)
Check out this site:

Pretty cool stuff
PS: I should be listed as N4.

The AGX will hold up, but you won't be as competitive. On their stiffest
setting, they're too soft in my opinion.
We have been using them on our rally car (Impreza turbo) and are eager to
upgrade.

Jason - out of curiosity - what springs are you guy's using on your car?
How may races do they last?
I am quickly finding our exactly what Mark was saying. $4000 seems to be
the going rate. Dream system - full Ohlins Rally set up ...all for the low
low price of $7800 US! (That is well over $10000 CDN)
AGX is probably how we will go for now (still have to negotiate how much),
but I would hope to be able to source those Bilsteins from somewhere...If
anybody comes across a source - please let me know!
Later...

Outback sport springs are the tallest of the impreza springs. We use these
with some custom spring spacers to give us good ground clearence. (custom
stiffer springs would probably be a good idea in the future if we were to
continue to use the KYBs). They've lasted 2 full races so far without any
leaks. This weekend will be the third race on them.
(http://www.oregontrailrally.com for those who don't know!)
Ohlins would be nice... But at over five thousand bucks that's something a
sponsor would pay for.
Anyone wanna sponsor a bright orange rally
Impreza turbo?
