WRX front seats....

Post by Mattheww044 »

hey guys i found some WRX front seats for 150 in mint condition... so i figured i should probably jump on that. My car already has the WRX rear seats... So do i need to use the WRX rails too or will the Stock ones work? Also i heard that they will sit about 1.5" taller than the stock seats?

Stock rails won't work with the WRX seat. On the WRX they're kind of "integrated" into the rest of the seat.

They do sit taller, but if you can weld you can fix that some...

Just get the WRX seats and bolt them in for that price.

If the factory WRX seats have the brackets than they will mount right up.

bolt right in and sit high

The WRX seats will bolt right in. You will sit higher than the stock Legacy seats. With the drivers seat in its lowest position, your head may contact the headliner, mine did. The fix is to chop the rails so they basically sit on the carpet.

I'm 6'0", and I don't come anywhere near the headliner... but I suppose it depends on your driving position; I tend to draw the seat up close to the wheel, then lay the back down.

Look for a leather kit on Ebay, there's a seller with Subaru kits starting at $50.

I got this leather kit for $117.
