Hello Everybody,
I have a little problem (or at least I hope that it is little). The other
day, out of no where, my brakes started crunching. I don't know how else
to describe the sound, something is grinding or crunching. I think that the
sound is coming form either the front passenger side brake or from something
more in the middle. Anyone experienced this, braking perfromance hasn't
suffered dramatically, but I'm worried that it will. I know that I'm going
to have to take it in, just wondering if anyone can give me a heads up on
what to suggest to my mechanic. Thanks a lot.

Check your pads, you might be out, if so, that grinding is
destroying your rotors. You may have picked up something between
your pads and rotors also

brakes noise
Hi Daniel
I dont know what your roads are like up there, but here in NZ there is
often some loose stone chip around roadworks sites
or on country roads. In a previous car I got small stones in my brakes,
they made a crunching noise. If this is the case you have no
worries, they can be blown out with compressed air. Get them out quick
though cause they can do some damage to the discs.
cheers
