2 Inch drop springs?

Ok. I have been lookin around the net and im in pursuit of some 2 Inch lowering springs and i cant seem to find ones that fit my 93 leggy turbo. I have hurd that 02-03 WRX springs might work on the stock leggy struts and tops. But im not sure. If any one could assist me with this it would be great.

They will not work. The rear yes, but the front will sit on the ground.

According to my mechanic i use. He said i can use a 1995 impreza AWD lowering spring on my 1993 legacy turbo. I think he may be correct! According to the sticky on suspension.

Aswell i can get a set of 07 STi struts and springs! I dont know if they will fit tho. Because the sticky does go the that high of a ver. of STi.

07 STi won't fit. Trust me, I had some my friend was gonna give me

But 05 or older will, I just put 04 on the front of mine that my friend gave me, the rear is floating around in someone's garage.

Not sure about GC fitment though, never looked into it.

Cool thanks! What about 04 struts and springs. I can get a set of those aswell for dirt cheap! I can basically get any Subaru part i wish. Considering i work at the local dealer. Aswell i know many people that have wrx's and sti's. So in saying that im mainly looking for the cheapest budget suspension setup.

first gen impreza suspension is completely interchangeable with BC's

you may find some good options from a 2.5 RS owner or whatnot

Yes sir, you have to swap something over on the rear strut from your old shock, I forget what it is though, there's a bunch of threads out there about how to do it. There's also a thread floating around with all the stock spring rates if you want to compare, might even be stickied.

I'm not sure where the front sitting on the ground comment came from, though I haven't tried lowering springs myself, the stock STi springs are actually very slightly higher than my SS springs, maybe 1/4" if that.

Look into sway bars too, you can swap them over from some Legacies, not sure which, but again I think it might be stickied.

OK. Now i have problems and i have to get this fixed! My struts are boned... leaking and rusted to S#!t... Crap!

So what do you guys think would be the easiest and cheaperish way to get nice struts and lowering springs?

93-01 Impreza style with H@R springs?

OR

98-02 Forester style with some rando drop spring?

My thinkings of the forester stuff because of this chart

If you wanna lower it I'd go for some 04 WRX lowering springs, since they bolt in, and stock ride height stays the same with stock WRX suspension(at least with STi), a drop spring should give you the same drop as it would on a WRX.

And if it makes you feel any better about the rust, you shouldn't have been thinking of leaving the struts stock anyway, buy struts that are meant for lowering springs if that's what you're doing, otherwise you'll be having to replace them pretty quick
