Stock STi exhaust

Post by Apex3 »

Hate to ask this, I know it's been covered at some point, but I've been searching for the past 30 minutes and I haven't actually found an answer to my question.

Will a stock STi catback be louder than a stock 91 SS? I have one I can get for free, and get modified for free, but if it's not gonna be louder at all I don't want to bother. I don't care about flow, I don't care about the look of it, I just hate that I can't hear my exhaust at all. I'm not looking for aftermarket exhaust loud, I just want to be able to hear it.

And no you can't have it if I don't use it, it's off my best friend's car, so he would sell it or keep it if I don't want it.

I would prefer it if someone who as actually done it can chime in, I'm not really interested in what you heard it does. A sound clip would be perfect but that might be too much to ask for.

My friend has one and it sounds just how a stock STi does.

If you do the STI muffler, you'll be happy.
If you do the STI muffler and a 3" downpipe, you'll be really happy.
