Bad news for me.

Post by _Aramchek_ »

Well, some lady flew through a intersection, literally just came out of nowhere, after i started making a left turn....she seemed to not hit the brakes till the very last second and hit my car.

My wife didn't see this person either,I figure they turned off a sidestreet after I had already started through.

My wife and I are fine,....the car however, needs repairs that I mostly can't afford at the moment.

Especially since I am from out of the country and things are far more expensive here, the 20% difference on the exchange rate still doesn't make up for things being about 30-40% more expensive here.

I got the ticket too as I was the one making a left turn and there were no witnesses..who stayed around anyway.

The car drives just fine, doesn't feel any different at all,but has a lot of cosmetic damage to the front passenger side,so I'm left in the wilds of southwestern Ontario with no idea what I'm going to do about this.

5 Days after my first wedding anniversary too.

So,um,if anyone in southwestern Ontario has any ideas at least of maybe a place to take it that is reasonably priced,or can help in any way even just with securing some donor parts I'd certainly be very appreciative.

I could do some of it myself, but the inside of the engine compartment has been pushed in and I don't really have too much expereince with how to fix that myself.

Nothing got damaged in the engine compartment and nothing was leaking,so I'd hope it's all fixable.

Sorry about your car. What a bummer. I've had my legacy SS for 8 months now and it still hasn't gotten an engine put in and I've had nightmares of someone stealing it and a couple times I've thought that I'm going to get it finished finally only to get in a wreck or get tboned or something. It would be terrible.

Hopefully someone can help you out. Your pictures aren't working by the way.

Good luck.

Where in Ontario? I might be parting out my 93 Legacy wagon. Body parts I guess would be better then what you have. As mentioned your pics aren't working!

Hmm,would stuff from a 93 fit my 91 SS?

I'm in a small town called zurich,it's near London, not too far from Toronto if the price is good and it'll work.

Not sure whats up with the pics so I just made a small video instead.

Yes, it will fit, BUT you would need to swap over the entire front end because of the 'facelift' that the Legacy received between 91 and 92. This would mean both fenders, the hood, the bumper, the grill, the headlights and the turning lights.

Still seems fine. Although the air box in the fender there being cracked (or missing?) will create alot more noise, and it looks like water can be thrown right in. I would not worry to much. Drive it home, and get a 91 front fender, bumper, corner light, and headlight. Does your A/C still work? The line looks pretty botched.

Other problem is you can not do a entire swap since I do not have a hood scoop on my N/A hood, and you won't get a turbo bumper. Sucks to see your 91 SS like that.

Well, the thing is I have applied for permanant residence and currently if I leave the country while they are deciding they may not let me back in to the country until they make the descision.

So I'm kind of stuck here.

Not sure if the ac works or not,the climate controls or blower for the hvac isn't working and I havent gotten around to fixing that yet.

The airbox has been removed,I like the noise, and I had fashioned a nice fiberglass sheild for the intake tube, but that got smashed,so I dont have any plans of driving it when it rains until thats fixed.

My biggest concern is that the supports for the fender are bent and theres a dent in the door frame and I don't really have any expereince fixing that kind of thing.
