im about to buy a 1.8 fwd 5spd impreza and have plenty of 97 legacy gt 2.5 dohc motor and parts and was looking at a swap i think i want to do something different and make a some what fast or quick NA fwd subaru and was wondering will the 2.5 dohc out of the 97 legacy gt mate to the fwd 5spd tranny

yeah and thanks bmxkelowna for the inspiration to do something totally un-subaru to your subaru

any Ej series motor can be bolted to any EJ series tranny as far as I've ever seen

good i was thinking the same i just wanted to be positive before i build my dohc ej25 and it wont mate to the front wheel drive tranny but thanks guys
