Looking for a tight trans for my '94. Mine's got a noisy front diff. Holler if you've got any leads. Will buy a whole car if the price is right.

Have yours rebuilt...

Last time I had mine quoted it wasn't all that expensive.

What kind of money are you talking about? A used trans comes pretty cheap, $100-$300 seems pretty typical to me.

I had a hard time finding a "goog working" AWD tranny for my build for under $500 shipped. IIRC it was around $600 for a rebuild at a local shop. This was with me removing the tranny and delivering/picking up. The $300 (and under) trannies that I found were from cars with 150K+ miles on the clock.

IMO its worth having the rebuild done if you're planning on keeping the car for a while. At least you'll know its a fresh transmission. :-D

Bought one. 100k on it for $350. A little more than I wanted to pay, but the miles are pretty respectable.
