Big wheel 16g?

Post by Redlined »

Was looking around the internet. hoping to stumble on a td05 16g and I started running into something called the "WRX big wheel 16g" in one case refered to as the "td05 bigwheel 16g". At fist I thought maybe it was just a nick name for the td05-16g then I noticed the prices where about $200 cheaper.

Whats the dif? will it work on a gen1 legacy?

Are they worth while or should I hold out for the real full meal deal?

Thanks in advance!
Dave

commonly referred to as a "big 16g" basically just has a bigger compressor wheel than the original 16g. And flows more air.

I've got one on my car, it scoots. It wiill work on your car, with the addition of an intercooler and the piping to go with it. Oh and you'll want to get some kind of fuel controller because you will run lean. I'm running 12psi on mine and the stock injectors can move the fuel but you need to tune for the increase in CFM.

awesome! Have the intercooler and silicon hoses... infact their in my kitchen on the counter taunting me everytime I refresh my soda. Have been planning fuel system upgrades but thats further down the line. Been putting off suspension work for far to long.
