East Coast Legacy / Subaru Meet... ??

Post by Bussaca@fast.net »

Heres a good question.... Is there an East coast Subaru Meet.. the
reason i ask is it seems like theres a west coast meet every other
month on the STI-list.. and it's slightly pissing me off..up yours
west coasters.... (just kidding) but why should they have all the
fun..

Would Any-body be up for either a Specific make/model East
coast meet or try to get some good turn-out and make a general
Subaru East meet...

I live in Allentown, PA USA... so the only thing i can think of is
meeting in Cherry Hill, NJ at SOA head-quarters and then makeing
out way over to the Pines-Barrons for a jaunt thru the woods at high
speed.. weee.. make a day or weekend out of it..

Any ideas or sujjestions, better sites,date/time ideas..etc..

East Coast Legacy / Subaru Meet... ??

Post by Josh Colombo »

David,

I wish I knew you were that close when I was goin to college. My uncle lives in Kutztown, we could've met up some time.

I'm goin to try and come up and visit the relatives some time this summer. I can let ya know when that is. Unfortunately, I will most likely not have my car.

As far as meets go. There is i-club. They have meets regularly. There is also the NESC (think that's the acronym) North Eastern Subaru club. There is stuff out there. It may not be as regular as the west coast meets, but there is stuff out there.

Down here in Houston the texas i-club is actually pretty active, and most of the members are good people. Almost all are impreza owners. Alot of WRX's, some RS's, and two legacies....Myself with my 90, and another guy with a 93 turbo sedan.

Josh

East Coast Legacy / Subaru Meet... ??

The NESC is the most active of the I-Club reigons some would say... There are some people in that group that are borderline obsessive compulsive - Actually, borderline might be a little conservative for a handful of them.

When those fellas get together there's around a couple hundred cars present. The WRX has made the popularity of the i-club go off the charts...

East Coast Legacy / Subaru Meet... ??

Post by shemeryahu »

I'm all for a RIGHT COAST (pardon that outburst, I ski and I bear a
grudge against west coast skiers that can't hold and edge unless the
snow is baby soft) Scooby meet. I think it would be a great idea
and I'd love to help plan one. The only caveat is that my car is
out until mid-June (I lost a spring and contract work is keeping me
from getting my whitelines until June) and I will most likely be at
the Libtertarian Party national convention the weekend of July 4th.
