the 4EAT in my 95 awd legacy wagon is on its last legs.

aside from another 95 trans what years can i use in this car?

Anything from 90-98 for sure. Not sure about newer ones.

Ratios for 4EATs:
'90-91 and '95-98 Legacy (not outbacks nor turbos) = 4.11 ratio
'92-94 Legacy, incl. turbo = 3.90
'96-98 Outback and GT (?) = 4.44

I don't think wiring harnesses/TCUs are compatible between the '90-94 and '95-98...as they went OBDII in '95+. They might plug-in but are wired different.

Also, check out Ultimatesubaru.org/forum as they've been over this a 'few' times.

thanks, i had a feeling the OBDII was going to become a factor.
