Irish Legacy
I have just saved a 1995 Legacy L Wagon from the crushers...just over 100k miles and from what I can see it just needs a little TLC and a decent set of wheels, good valet and polish...I hope.
I would like to put a few photos up here but I am struggling trying to figure out how I add them..? Any help would be appreciated.
Any recommendations on wheel size or type..the old 185/70/14 look a little sad under those arches.
Cheers from Ireland

Add your photos to a site such as Photobucket.com and then post them up using the "IMG Code" link option.
Personally, I'm running 235/40/17 (soon to be 245/40/17), you can easily fill up that space with 225/45/17.
I'm not exactly sure what tire specs you would need for a 16" wheel, so you'll just have to wait for a board member with 16s to chime in. I believe a 215/50/16 size tire would work though.

Wheel Size
Hey..thanks for all the advice guys..
I had no intention of a semi-project car, but its got lots of usable space, nice smooth flat-four motor, its comfortable and I just could not let someone crush it..My wife has given me some pretty dirty looks when I arrived home in it...sadly not the dirty looks I like lads...you know the ones I am talking about.
Will shove some photo's on later..

good on you, these cars are good at being rescued I think
I hope she pulls her weight for you without too many quirks
I'm on 225 17s and they fill the well nicely after a slight fender roll a la baseball bat

I'll bet your Legacy isn't in too bad of shape at all, unless it was sitting a long while with a recent MOT update... I noticed when I was in Ireland (Last April), most cars bodies are in great shape, true a few dings and bonks here and there, but no serious rust and definitely didn't see any rust through. I don't know of many Euro-spec Legacies here, it'd be cool to see your pics when you get that sorted out.

I suppose we dont have the harsh weather in Ireland that perhaps you guys get in certain parts of the US, hence we dont get any snow or ice, that means the salting of roads is very low, and most Euro specified cars are well undersealed anyway.
I think my Legacy was an import, The square registration plate is a give-away and I have some data that suggest its imported. I have put some pics on here that were taken last weekend. I have to get some buffing and polishing done this week and with a new set of wheels and tyres on it I think its more or less ready to drive legally on the road.
No matter what way this works out I am expecting some reasonable service from the car as its only just done over 100K
I will put some pics on the site when its been polished and cleaned up.
Not bad for a 1995 one owner Wagon all for under 750 Euro's.?
Cheers for now
Paul
