Before and after pics? I'm not firmiliar with that generation so I don't know what's changed other than the color?

Will you be painting that white?

I see. I hate to say it but I think I liked it white better lol. I still love your car though, it's so clean. It's hard to get accents like that right.

A lot of people like the black carbon hoods and trunks on cars that aren't black but that's never been my taste. Maybe I'm the odd ball out.

^Im with you most of the time^.

This just strikes me as nice.Actually if you look at that pic of the rear you can picture the spoiler black and you have a nice alternating black, white, black, white, black layered pattern.

I don't like the carbon look either. if it's gonna be on my car, it's gonna have paint on it. Even if I did a CF hood or trunk, it would be painted. I may do black door handles too. not sure yet. got the front, and rear accented in black. now to take care of the sides. ;)

I love the rear garnish! But, there's no way it would look good on a NBP.
The Garnet Red and White are the only colors this looks good on.

That's exactly how I feel. I have come to loathe the carbon fiber look. The ONLY reason I would ever put carbon fiber on my vehicle would be to lighten things up and I would paint it like the rest of the car so no one would be the wiser.

I just bought a sweet wakeboarding handle. It's a carbon fiber Accurate zero G handle and it's painted. Actually I think there might be a small place where they didn't paint the CF but for the most part they painted it. Which is cool, I could do with out the bling.

What I thought was cool about whiteline when I got my swaybar from australia was that on the package it says all over it,"Swaybars and no bling!." Haha! Hells yeah whiteline!

Looks pretty good IMO, if you painted the whole tailgate black I would have called you a homie from Maple (where I live kids in maple are known for painting there body parts different colours ;) and I am a kid and I am not implying your a kid )

You just masked it and sprayed it right? It's not a stick right lol.

amen brother! I think I remember someone from japan saying how they make fun of us for leaving carbon fiber unpainted. yet every ricer out there leaves the carbon fiber unpainted to be "JDM" :smt081

I took off the plate, and removed the whole lower piece from the trunklid, debadged it, scuffed it up, painted it, re-3M taped the badges and reapplied everything. done the way it should be done.......I think. wasn't really hard at all.

This is why i have come to be disgusted by the mere sight of the letters "JDM" i even hate to say or type it even when i am trying to refer to it. :?

True, but it's a crucial search word when looking for actual JDM parts that aren't available over here.

I like it. Odd question, but are the badges 1-piece or are the letters separated? I broke the red garnish between the taillights on my wagon and I'm replacing it with a piece of alloy. I'm thinking of using those Subaru Legacy badges for the new trim. Separate letters sound like a PITA.

the "subaru" is one piece. the "legacy" has individual letters. the "2.5" is one piece, and "SE" has individual letters. If you buy them from subaru, they come in a template with exact spacing, etc.

I really like that! What type of paint did you use?

I personally think you nailed it with the 'accent.'

I really like it too. I would have left the chrome lettering off it though for more of a stealth look.

Is that a semi-flat black? It doesn't look like flat, which is a good thing both for appearance and long-term durability.
