Impressions of GC 2.5RS Springs.

Post by ImprezaRSC »

I have to say right off the bat that I really like these springs on this car. As an old fart, it's a nice combo on a 92 SS. They really do feel "plush", yet sticky. I replaced H&R drop springs and kept the present GR2s. It feels more like a comfy, yet sporty daily driver.

I haven't pushed much power through it sideways, as I don't know what these sedans do when nearing opposite lock or power on oversteer. This chassis feels a bit heavier like a newer WRX. It feels wonderful, but I'm not used to the weight in the nose instead of the butt like my old wagon. I suspect another pre-existing mod or two from how neutral the car still feels in a corner. I expected this to be a bit bumpy and tin-cannish like a GC, but it is 100% comfortable and performs surprisingly well.

+1 for stock GC RS springs on a leggy.

Pics for reference. I love how stock yet sporty it feels. After years of modded suspensions of all flavors, I forgot how nice stock suspensions can be.

I don't care about the fender gap with these 2.5RS springs. They're SO comfortable!

These H&R springs are now for sale if someone wants them ;).
