WTB: Good, flat, right (passenger) side turbo cylinder head

Post by jdmleggy97 »

looking for a good condition right side cylinder head off an legacy turbo. Preferably one with no know bad valve seals and flat so I wouldnt have to get it resurfaced. Also would anyone happen to know for sure if it would fit onto an ej18? Only difference I see is 1.8 is open deck and 2.2 is closed I would think water and oil passages would be fine though. (blackbart you probably have one laying around but I figured I would post it first)

I will put one in your "pile".
I also have a nice pair of JDM ej20 DOHC heads for you to look at.

I acutually have a set of ej20k heads for my 2dr impreza. Don't wanna go to far with the winter car(4 door preza)ya kno. Thanks tho any word on it working with the 1.8? Really only need the head for pressure feed for oil to the turbo. If it won't work I know where I can tap off of the stock motor and i devised a way to have my return feed into the valve cover.

I believe all the ej heads can be swapped, can anyone else confirm this?

Block to block, yes. But there are a few different intake manifold bolt patterns.

All phase 1 DOHC heads are basically interchangable with each other.

EJ22T heads will mate to a EJ18 intake manifold.

Phase 1 SOHC and DOHC intakes will not swap.

Hope this helps!

I was wondering about oil passages? Anybody know of any differences between the 1.8 and 2.2?
