Does anyone have the WRX or any other Parts Catalogs?
With all the parts we use from WRXs and STIs and early imprezas you'd think someone on here would have the parts catalogs for these.
Using the stupid online catalog on sites such as 1stsubarubparts.com and subarugenuineparts.com is a shitty experience. It's done horribly. It doesn't give you part numbers to cross reference with or take to the dealership. It's got probably the worst search system I've ever used and is very sensitive and usually only works if you use one word searches. Most of the time when you search with more than one word it comes up with nothing. I've even found what I was looking for and then tried searching for exactly what it was called and it came up with zero results.
So basically, I need a parts catalog for the 02-03 WRX to find the part I need.
Anybody got it? Any other ones would be great.
Searching on the internet is coming up with wierd shit that's not helpful. PDF town has a bunch of what they call parts catalogs but is really just a scan of some parts catalog that only lists the most commonly replaced items on the car and is only a fraction of the actual parts you'd find on the car.

You won't find one....at least not like what I posted for the first gen legacy.
It's all electronic now. What you're finding in PDF is the collision catalog. It mostly has body parts and things that get damaged in a wreck.

It's an electronic parts catalog. You may see them on ebay every now and then. The programs are cracked due to it needing to be updated and wanting a license server.

It's gotta be better than the one they offer on their site. I've seen them use it at the parts counter and it looks much better and gives you pictures with actual part numbers on them and I think you can click the parts and come up with prices but I'm not sure.
That sucks. That online system REALLY pisses me off. It's super hard to find what you're looking for. I need the pin from an 02 or 03 WRX shift linkage. The pin that bolts the shifter to the linkage. The 97 JDM forester pin does not fit into my 02-03 shift linkage and the 97 forester linkage is too small of a gap to fit my group A shortshifter in.

The electronic parts catalog does have part numbers. It's still not as intuitive as the old Legacy one though.
Check on ebay. There's some floating around.

Haha, nope that's not it. I guess it's actually a bolt. Except only the end is threaded and it's a smaller diameter than the rest of the bolt. It goes through the shifter and bolts it to the shift linkage. I believe there's also a metal sleeve that slides over it that I need too.
I'll take pictures today.

I'm going to go to my parents house right now and check out what I need.
That looks like what I need but I swear it was to bolt the shortshifter to the linkage and not the linkage together at the coupler joint.
Now I'm confused. I'll be back with pictures.

Alright, yeah I said the bolt with the metal sleeve had smaller thread diameter than the rest of the bolt but I was mistaken, that actually is the bolt that holds the coupler to the shift link.
The bolt I need is the same diameter on the threads as it is on the part where the sleeve sits. It goes through the shink linkage and through the shifter. The one I have from the 97 forester and the one in my 91SS is too short because the WRX shift linkage is wider than ours. Whoever sold me the shift linkage from NASIOC didn't include the bolt but I believe the sleeve was there.
Either way I need the part numbers for the sleeve and the bolt that hold the shifter and shift linkage together.
Here's the bolt I was describing before that I already have.

And here's the bolt and sleeve that I need and this is where it goes. You can see the 97 JDM forester shifter width compared to the Group A shortshifter that's made for probably 02-07 WRX/STI I'm guessing.

So how do I find these two parts on 1stsubaruparts.com?
Or maybe one of you guys working at the subaru dealer can look it up for me? Gotta be from a later WRX I believe, whenever they went to the wider shifter.

I'm pretty sure there's no gap. It's tight as a nuns cunt. lol
I've already put the whole thing together. I saw your thread and the washers but I'm damn near positive there's no gaps.
Thanks for the part numbers I'll go check them out on 1stsubaruparts.com they're about 2hours north of me so it ships quick.
I can't thank you enough for those. I have been looking for them for days now. I just searched all over the internet for a parts catalog and even tried NASIOC and couldn't find a thing.

Part Number: 35045AC040 SPACER
$1.99
Part number 35045AC020 was superceded by part number 35045AC040.
Part Number: 015608600 BOLTX
$0.26
Nice and cheap, sweet. Well I guess $2 for a bolt isn't that cheap if you were to buy a bunch of stuff but I'm happy with it. I'll order it now with the gaskets for the throttle spacer I'm making.

Part number for the throttle body gaskets is 16175AA151 in case anyone needs them.
Unfortunately minmum shipping charge on any order is $12.95 from 1stsubaruparts.com which is a rip off for 1 bolt, 1 spacer and 4 small gaskets. Total came out to over $23 so I'm going to call them and see if they can ship it in an envelope or something for cheaper otherwise I'll just go to the local dealership and get ripped off there instead.

The part numbers you gave me were correct. The bolt and sleeve fit great. Thanks
