Door shuts lock opens

Inside my Legacy I lock the doors and they all go, mmmrrrtt. I get out and when I shut my driver door the lock flips open to unlock.
It only happens with my driver door. Any Ideas.

lol it's supposed to do that. It's a safety feature so you don't lock your keys in the car. You need to use the key to lock your door. Mine does the same thing. I think Jettas and BMWs do it too.

You don't have to use the key to lock the door. Just hold the handle open when you shut it. Just like a Honda.

I just have to say that this is one of my favorite creature comforts of our cars... Why the hell they did away with it I don't understand.

While we're on this subject, is the driver's side door the only one that will open if locked by just pulling on the handle? My front pass nor my rear pass handles will open unless you first push the lock button forward so it's unlocked, then pull the handle. That or I unlock all the doors. The driver's door if it's locked will unlock just by pulling the handle. Are the others broken or is it just the driver's door that does it?

I've never noticed if the passenger door unlocks when you use the inner door handle, but mine only has an idiot lock on the driver's side.
