Legacy suspension (again)

Post by Josh Colombo »

aight......so we're pretty sure that the Sti mounts will work in the rear. The question now is.....should I put the springs meant for a 4WD in my car.......to be able to use the mounts.......or am I putting too much faith in these mounts and what they supposedly can do for me.....???

Josh - yes, Impreza (GC8) spings are pretty wide in the rear.

I am 99% positive the mounts bolt right in (ciper didn't contact me yet though)..again, this comes from Tein telling me that the pillowball mounts they sell for a BC5 and GC8 are the same part number, and further by the telling me any GC8 coilover they offer fits in the Legacy too, but you need pillowball mounts if not already part of the kit (for example, Tein HA des not come with the pillowballs, they are optional).

You can buy just front monts, or front and rear as a pair...fronts are not the problem though, rears are. I don't ahve the prices in front of me, but I can post tomorrow....you'll find we are more than competitive though on all Sti stuff.

GR2 4 new ones would run you $270.00 plus shipping

If I recall correctly, the 2wd and AWD Leagcy for 90 to 91 use the same GR2, the different part numbers start in 93 and up
