power light flashing on startup question

When it flashes the light on startup does it impact the way the tranny shifts at all like a failsafe mode? Honest to god the car will not shift to 2nd if i have been cruising at 40km/h. Stays in 4th gear sometime. Code is duty solenoid c and I have no awd and 0 torque bind. How does it recognize a issue anyway? I can go as far as 1/2 throttle+ no gear change just sitting just under 3000rpms barely going faster. Of course I can just jump on it to get the power light on, but its annoying I should not need to jump on the throttle after making a right turn EVERY time.

And yes the best solution is 5MT but thats not happening unless I get another SS and its 5MT

the duty C solenoid shouldn't affect the way the car shifts. That's the code I have in mine (sometimes it doesn't come on), and it shifts and drives just fine. I still have AWD and no torque bind

do you find your tranny shifts pretty smooth like you cant notice the shifts i am thinking i should replace that resistor under the hood.

Clear the codes and see if that particular code comes back.

does anyone find there car at cruising at 40kmh per say when you hit the gas stays in 3rd gear right up till half throttle is that normal ? Oh and i forgot to clear the codes !
