i am just wondering what is just a step or two above the vf34. one that will make a bit more hp and is just as efficient, if not better?

I'm not sure a VF39 would be any improvement. Maybe a big 16G?

Here, read this...not a perfect guide by any means, but still helpful:

yeah, a vf 34 is pretty much the biggest you can go using the stock up/down pipes. you'd have to change the exhaust flanges and go custom to get anything bigger in there.

By the way, how are you maxing out a vf34?

Mine will hit well over 20psi with no problem (found this out for a short moment while tuning the EBC :)

Im not running a 34 right now. i still have stock engine, which has a lot of miles and im going to build an engine and i don't want to be pissed that a 34 is not big enough. im not saying that the 34 is too small i just don't want to be dissappointed....and ihave a chance to pick up a 34 for real cheap. so just askin around.

VF39 is smaller than the VF30/34.
