FREE: NY/NJ '93 LEGACY LS GOOD BODY

Post by Aerotech »

Kills me to do this, but I don't have the time to do the swap that I wanted, so my perfect-body wagon has to go... The transmission (4EAT) is toast. It will drive for about a mile before it quits, so you can load it on a trailer no problems.

The body is in VERY nice shape except for the front fenders, which are rusted, and one small spot on the rear side where the bumper bolts on, which I cleaned out and preserved with POR-15....The other ususal rust spots on the quarters and rockers are super clean.

New two-tone leather seat upholstery, a Forester kit I adapted onto the original LS seats... which brings the car up to LSi specs. Also has seat heaters installed, but they're not wired up yet.

Every option, and everything works, including the height-adjustable air suspension. Has a JVC CD stereo. Recent brakes, lots of new coolant components, including a OEM radiator and all coolant hoses.

'02 WRX wheels, Thule roofrack. 121K miles. Car drives great. Motor has a slight knock on cold start-up. I will include the original shortblock, which is in perfect shape, as I had thrown in a spare block when troubleshooting the oil problem when I got the car (internally cracked head).

Pick up only, the car is at Newark Int'l Airport, NJ

$500 as is. Act soon if you're interested; I need some parts for the sedan...If no one wants it, I'll scavenge what I need and donate the car.

Subtract $100 per item if you don't want the:
-Roofrack
-WRX rims (bring a set of wheels with you)

Too bad you're not close, I would scoop that thing up in a heartbeat.

Damn. I have a 5spd tranny from my SS and limited slip rear diff ready to go into that.

Hope it goes to a good home.

Yeah, I wanted to put my 2.5 RA and 5MT in it, along with the '91 turbo bumper, hood & fenders, but I'm working on my van right now, and I'm not going to waste my summer working on cars every spare moment I get... so I'm shining it on. Maybe later I can find a 5-spd '94 GT wagon, & save a little work.

You'd have sold it already if I could get the damn thing out of the city for a reasonable price.... No chance at all that tranny will take a 40 mile ride?

Not anymore... the range is down to about a mile before it poops out. It will get itself up onto a trailer or dolly.

A U-haul flatbed is about $100 for a day. Or use a 2-wheel dolly, you don't have to worry about screwing up the transmission.

No, they are the original LS seats, I recovered them with a leather kit for a Forester. The fronts and rear seatbacks were almost identical, but the rear bottom was quite different then the Forester, I had to improvise a bit.

I'm out to Cali for a few days, when I get back I'll probably start busting it up... I'll remove the seats for sure, and post them for sale.

Last call... Pulling parts tomorrow & Sunday, come & get the body free if you want it... aside from the rusted front fenders, this body is immaculate. :( Clear title (NY)

Any small parts requests? Tan interior, everything's in good shape. Stereo is junk. I'll grab what I can. I'm keeping the rims, sunroof, visors and selling the seats.
