does anyone have a procedure list that i can follow when replacing
the head gaskets on my EJ20 2.0litre turbo. i had another guy tell me
that i had to take the motor out so as to perform this - is he
right ???

I did my 2.2L without taking it out. However, next time - if there is a next time - I might consider pulling it instead...
It's not impossible on the 2.2 to do the job in the engine bay - it's just so much easier to do the job when it's out.
However, you having a different engine may not have that choice. Someone else might want to chime in and confirm this?
