Feeler: 1998 Subaru Forester

Post by livestrong14 »

Well guys, now that I am starting school, I must sell my beloved forester. This car has been great to me and it sucks to see her go. I just can't afford to pay insurance on two cars at the moment.

The history:

This car was purchased by one of our best customers about 4 years ago. She bought it from the original owner right around 120,000 miles. The customer drove it for about 3 years when the engine gave up the goose at about 135,000 miles. Our shop, NW Subaru Service rebuilt the engine with all new gaskets and seals, including brand new headgaskets, timing belt, idlers, tensioners, thermostat, waterpump seal, oil pan gasket, front and rear main seal, and intake manifold gaskets. The car currently has 150,000 miles on it and is running great. The tranny is strong and has no issues or noises whatsoever. I change the oil every 3,000 miles.

The car was in a slight fender bender that damaged the grill, hood, and rear hatch slightly. Those parts have all been replaced with straight wrecking yard parts and painted black. CLEAN TITLE. It has good toyo all season rubber, installed by les schwab about 10,000 miles ago. All tires are at about 80%. I also have a great set of studded snow tires available. I have put about 15,000 miles on the car since I have owned it. Mostly all freeway from Boise to Portland. I have never had any issues. My average mileage is right about 30 mpg freeway and 25 around town.

It has a few mods:
STi struts and springs
STi rear swaybar
Weapon R intake
Kartboy short throw

It is truly sad to see her go, but now is the time. I am looking to get anything around 5,000, but am open to see some offers.

Thanks for reading
