12 volt power source needed

Post by extremely_old_fart »

hey guys... i need to find a wire or harness that i can splice into
to get some power to my gauges in my dash... the gauges are mounted
just below where the ash tray is and in front of the shifter... so i
was hoping to use the cigarette lighter wiring, however i do not know
how to remove the cigarette lighter.... i don't need the lighter as i
will be installing another button there in the future

any help is appreciated.........thanks

Pop out the panel above the lighter and the lower dash panel. :-) Dan

Use on of your switches. Find one that has the dimmer attached and hook into that. Get a test screw driver to find the wire you need. If you don’t have one there cheap enough. I just hooked mine up to the front fog light switch but the dimmer works the other way (turn it bright and the light goes out). I am going to try the rear demister.
