swapping to ej18 from ej22

Post by mavx »

so my crank is in not so good shape. im going to atempt to run the ej22 for as long as possible until the crank pulley lets go for the last time.

the plan was to turbo the car(2.2 95 leg) but when i lifted the hood to check everything out, i noticed the crank pulley was nearly off, wobbling like crazy. the wooddruff key was torn up and fugged the crank and crank pulley.

should i just go for the ej18 install and swap the ej22 heads? keep my intake manifold and injectors? ive heard of some impressive boost on the ej18's.

a local is selling a complete ej18 for $100, sounds like a good deal to me.

dont do the ej18. they are dog slow and dont even get very good fuel mileage. its not hard to find a good used ej22 cheap.
