urgent removing turbo

urgent removing turbo
hey pulling the turbo out and got all the bolts off except the one for the uppipe since its under the down pipe. Does the whole dp need to be removed or is there a way to wiggle the dp back so i can undo the bottom uppipe bolts ??

lol figured it out just undid the two bolts holding the DP solidly in place then I was able to pull the DP back and slid out the turbo.
Now here is another question why do people no replace the oil drain hose? It seems easy enough with long needle nose pliers.

Hahaha juuuuust wait. It might seem easy enough now, but it has to be the PERFECT length. Too long and it'll kink, too short and it won't reach. Therefore, getting the correct diameter and length hose is HARD because you barely have any room to work in there.

Is it leaking at the oil return tube, because its cracked, etc? I'm sure you can buy most thing at the dealership... just going to cost you a bit for that custom cut piece of tubing 
Yes, getting the clamps around that tube are a bitch, even with the DP out of the way....

+1. Just make sure you get hose that's meant to have oil run through it, NOT heater hose.AWD_addict wrote:Or you can get hose at NAPA and cut it to the length you want.

I pulled my turbo just to fix the oil outlet tube, Its a pain in the ass but worth it.
I got mine at a place in Spokane called "House Of Hose" and it didnt cost more than $3.00.
The dealership was to spendy for me.
As long as you cut the hose to the same length and use better clamps your good. I also used the red high heat silicone on both ends just for security. Its been 4k miles and I havent had a problem.

Hose appeared to be fine so left it just made the butterfly clamps have wayy more tension by bending them in. Turbo is in. Did my 90 for the inlet on the td04 now need to work on the IC.
