td04 coolant lines

Post by ericem »

Hey guys, I just realized the coolant lines are differently posistioned. I am leaving my coolant tank in the stock location and it appears I would have to use the coolant lines from my vf11 on the td04. Is this ok to do? I just have to cut the part in the middle holding them together which I did and it looks like it will fit just fine, but will it hit my 90 deg hose going to the IC?

Also there are two types of banjo bolts, one has like more holes but smaller, and the VF11 one has 1 or 2 large holes. Which one should I use if I am using the metal coolant lines from my VF11 on the TD 04? Thanks guys!

Use the VF11 coolant lines for both. IMHO they work better and bolt right up - And you probably know, keep track of the washers on both sides of the banjo bolts for the oil and coolant lines.

My coolant line runs UNDER the IC's hose, w/out a problem...yours should too, if it's the stock coolant hose to the tank.

Perfect exactly what I wanted to hear! Thanks!

Did you use the td04 banjo bolts for coolant or the vf11 bolts?

Hmmm, I know they both fit, but probably used the bolts that matched the lines.

You can even use the vf11 stuff on the td05 if you want. I cut the pipes apart and enlarged the holes.

Here's some pics from my install
