I'm NOT asking how to fix this I'm asking if anyone can identify what they see here.
Basically the cable slid right off and it there is a little rusty looking piece thats about 2-3 inches long sticking out.
I have read that it is supposed to seperate there so you can remove the tranny easily but I dont see anything like that here.
Any input would be good before i go buy a new cable
Thanks

Yeah, i saw that when I searched. Do you see how on yours the piece you replaced had a bend in it? It looks like that piece is missing and my cable was just clipped into the plastic bolt part. There is also some moon metal looking weird shielding on the cable. Looks like something that would be on the space shuttle or something lol.
so anyway, I created this post because what I have doesn't look like what i've seen on here already.
does anyone know if the 4eat is different than the manual gearbox?

so it looks like I don't need to take the plastic bolt that breaks on everyone out then in this case?

ok all fixed. FYI the piece that screws into the tranny is metal and not plastic in this case. I'm talking about part # 5 in the diagram above. I'll do a little writup later.
