Where to buy head gaskets? & what to use?

Post by race_to_live »

Im looking for a good set of head gaskets, better then stock because im running a bit higher comp ratio. can someone tell me where to buy them?

I purchased a full gasket and seal set, it came with stock head gaskets, the multi layer ones. Im going to run 30 Over pistons and was wondering if i could just use them, or if i have to get bigger ones.

the bore is going to be 3.848"
the gaskets are 3.818"
So .030" or .762mm

mls = multi layer steel.

ALL teh mls head gaskets I have purchased from stores other than subaru direct have been stamped/made by subaru.
they all have the flying wing embossed in them.

I just picked up a Fel-Pro gasket set, and surprisingly they were MLS.

I was expecting the usual kind of gasket......
