My 1994 has a caliper that is locking up, I pulled it today and it looked really familiar. I upgraded to wrx brakes on my forester, and I had the old calipers sitting in the garage. They look very similar, but the pads are different, but they look the same size. Has anyone done this before?
I would like to go wrx brakes on the Legacy as well, but I have snow tires that are 15".

Hi,
You're talking about CALIPERS, correct? I think the 1st Gen USDM Forester did use the same diameter brake rotor/disc as the Turbo Legacy...which means the calipers should fit, too.
Good luck,Td
