Missed that 3800 lbs thing originally, I guess.

But unless they did something different with the S model, it's going to be front-wheel biased, too, as Audi didn't start changing that until the new millennium.

I don't care if Jesus made those wheels himself, they were the height of fashion in 20AD, and he sold them only to kings in exchange for palaces filled with harems of women—I still think they're ugly and make me recall the same look (cheap knock-offs they may have been) on all manner of cheese back in the day (Mustangs and Camaros mainly) and the way they almost stick out past the wheel wells reminds me of the ridiculous fashion in mid-nineties Detroit for small diameter wide rims on spacers with low profiles that stuck way out the sides of the car (even though they're nothing like that). They also remind me of early Testarossa wheels, and I never liked that car, so perhaps it's more baggage that I associate with them then the look itself. They certainly beat those stupid 3-spokes that were popular in the early nineties. Not that it matters to Matt—it's his maybe car.

Whoa....looks like Advan actually made there own gay ass three spoke version! Ha HA!

I'm gonna find a set of those three spoke chrome Albas some day, and put them on your car while your sleeping Steve. I'll probablly have to steal them off some super crappy first gen CRX.

And like those wheels or not, there worth so dough for sure.

I personally can't think of anything BBS has made that I don't like.

Hmm. Yeah, that doesn't sound good. Maybe he's just busy all of a sudden. Not that I'm trying to be positive or anything!

I'm actually blowing through Book 3 right now. Book 2 is at the publishers seeing if they like it or want to print it out just so they can wipe their ass with it. Books 3 & 4 each have over 200 pages written out and indexed by chapter (my attempt to organize my haphazard ADD writing into something more easily manageable when putting together for a draft). I've arranged 100 pages of book 3 so far into the draft. Book 4 is going to be more difficult as I need to take a trip or three to Montreal for much of the setting of scenes. I also need to figure out if I want to make it really long (and unprofitable unless I get picked up by a big publisher) or break out a 5th book to tell the story of the Nicole Marsh character. She deserves her own book, but I'd like to move on from the Dante Project stuff and get going on my kid's book. Yeah, that's right—a friggin' kids book, but none of the woos shit they put out today. Yeah, I'll have to leave out the graphic sex and swearing, but it's going to be rough in an original Grimm's Fairy Tale sort of way. Originally, I was thinking of doing 2 books on pirates. The first, an adult one set around the end of the 17th Century and based on what the Crown thought Captain Kidd was planning (to reinforce a faltering Scottish colony with enough money to build a fleet of ships and essentially take over Caribbean trade), but with the character more like Bart Roberts and it would be extremely brutal. The second was going to be the kid's book, present day, involving a kid with his parents (in the middle of a separation they're trying to work out) looking for the remains of the flagship (named, Duchess, incidentally) of the same pirate from the adult book and trying to avoid criminal treasure hunters (yes, something like The Goonies). Now I'm thinking, I'll just combine them into the kid's version using flashbacks triggered by the discovery of certain items as well as museum records and local folklore from the time.

Yeah, he's probably waiting for some clueless kid to buy it who won't be able to afford maintenance.

I still keep looking at it and a impala comes to mind looks wise IDK why! Heavy car, probably very unreliable, extremely expensive to fix, maybe difficult to work on and will probably HAVE to be worked on.

Ill stick to my Japanese auto's.

OK, he got back to me, ends up he's a professor or something, 64 years old, collects Audi's. He bought the car off a guy in his 40's. He ran a carfax prior to buying and it was clean. He also had an Audi dealer do a full check out on it and no problems. He's only driven it 1000 miles since.

So, I am leaning towards getting it. I just like it. :)

As long as it's gonna be a toy and not a DD I say go for it. People are talking about how expensive and hard it will be to maintain, but you'll be fine with it as a weekend car. Sure it'll be a little expensive, just keep on top of preventative maintenance, as you would need to with all German cars, and it shouldn't be a problem. I know it's rare, but it's not a Ferrari, parts shouldn't be too awful compared to any other rare European cars like this.

Trying to get my soon to be ex-wife to sign off on my damn loan. Want to borrow against my 401k cause it's only like 4% APR and I pay myself back instead of a bank. She won't sign it until she talks to her lawyer...... I am just a wee bit pissed about it.

The Wheels are BBS RF's. Pretty expensive....

I have been trying to track down more info about this car and I came across a post on another forum that I think was from the previous owner claiming the car is highly modded putting down around 330 hp. I PM'd the guy to see if this indeed his old car and if so, what are the mods. We'll see!
