Those STi injectors will make your car run way rich if you try to use them without some form of EM...period. You're best off waiting until you have the chip, '92-'94 NA fuel rails, and a Walbro or STi fuel pump.
Oh, and you might as well pick up a JECS MAF too...then you can order a chip ready to work with all the above stuff.

The rails determine the shape/style of injector. The 370cc stock turbo injectors are FUNKY, pretty much nothing fits those rails.
The reason for the JECS (T into and ground, the blue wire) is that it flows more air per voltage and you will not run as rich. If you install a JECS with stock injectors, you will run lean. All better with a tune of course.

So basically, i can drop my sidefeeds in and run the plastic maf right now with the ground mod and should be fairly ok to drive???
Ive been getting a real weird hesitation lately and it's been pissing me off, and for awhile i couldn't figure out what the deal was but lately my CE light has been coming on and going off randomly and one day i caught it and was able to get the codes and it's telling me Injector 1 and 3.
Since i already have sidefeeds i was going to attempt to run them without the chip.

The car will probably run and idle, but I would never try to go into boost without some kind of EM.
Some people say that thier car did not even run with the 550's on stock ECU, so that could also be the case.

I've read that if you install the JECS MAF without EM it will run lean as hell. The only thing grounding the blue wire does is turn off the CE light. If you wait for the chip you don't have to ground anything. Maybe running the 550cc and JECS without EM may counteract each other. Personally I don't think it's a good idea.
I'm running STI yellowtops, I had them flow tested at witchhunter.com and they only flow 530cc, Some flow closer to 550cc but from what I've read most don't flow dead on 550cc. The only thing you might be concerned about is the little grey pads on top of the injectors, mine came with them so I did'nt have to worry about it. I think all they do is give you a little room to clamp it down, if you don't have them you might be able to use your old ones slightly modded. I'm using 92-94N/A fuel rails and have had no problems, I'm using the o-rings for the 550cc. The only o-rings I had problems with leaking are the little ones on the end of the rails that bolt to the lines,BTW don't tighten those screws to tight or they will break
. I use vasoline on the injector o-rings when I install them and twist them back and forth to make sure everything is seated. I used the caps off the 92-94 rails and they worked fine. Not that it's a big deal, but you will have to turn your injector connectors upside down to plug into the new injectors. I'm not saying cut any wires, just flip the connector over.
