Winter tires?

Post by ej22tVermont »

Does any body know if either a 215/65/15 or a 215/60/15 will fit a 1994 Legacy Turbo??? I am hoping so because my tires are shot and a family member will give me one of those sets for free. Thanks for any input.

The second size is what I'm using for snow tires on my Forester. I tried using them on my legacy (the 96) but they rubbed in the rears something fierce.

I should think it is compulsory with winter tyres.....as far as I know it is not allowed to drive with summer tyres in winter in Denmark,my home country....and the winter weather is a lot worse in Sweden than Denmark, that's for sure! For safety reasons, use winter tyres and even then be careful....this winter has been very cold with lots of snow in some places.

I had to take a sledge hammer to the rear struts using MY02 WRX wheels with 205/55r16

I bet either of the above would fit if you put spacers on the rear.
