but I can throw down in a pinch.

I needed a fireman's axe for my costume, and could not find anything made of plastic from China. So I had to make it. A $12 axe handle and a chunk of 2X6 made it happen. I used a Craftsman band saw, a basic belt sander, and a DA sander. The paint sucks because I had to rush it, so it is what it is.


I spent about three hours on it before paint.

looks good, and will be worth keeping for years to come

ahh the human experience, if you were on an assembly line making these all day you'd tire of it quickly I'm sure, but I expect you were quite happy to spend hours of your own personal time on it.
