the only way to get clearance is to move the radiator 4 inches forward

i wonder how much you could move back the engine and tranny. weld a plate over the crossmember slots and cut new ones further back. maybe an inch or so? nah, easier to just cut the core support. these eg swaps seem like a better idea every day. cheap motors to buy if not all that common. 240?hp out of the box, torque all around, capable of 400hp pretty easily. transmissions seem like the main concern.

these things and the EZ motors are just so bad ass. they really seem like a porsche motor or something. probably comparable in potential and about 10x cheaper.

I think they would be badass turbocharged for a marine application as well. I put that in... Eh, never mind.

What about a custom-sized radiator to fit between the core support? I don't know what they cost, but you could maybe order one that fits between, but has more rows to it. Or what about a hi-po Honda or something off the shelf? Do those come stock sized? Some of them are pretty damn small as OEM.

Between the core support and bumper is a great idea. Wouldn't be cheap though.

I've seen some stuff on the internet about other ppl who put a eg33 in their legacy. They had to cut out the front metal and move the radiator up.

I would try that but I have a FWD Legacy L. I'm always going back and forth in my mind about the value in building up a FWD. There is that Scion FWD with 1000HP owning all the time trials, but then that's because he has front and back airfoils giving him stability. I'd really rather have AWD. Hey, where you live? Want to sell me you're SS?

Just take a hack saw and cut some fins into the block, make it air cooled like a Porsche...problem solved.

yeh that is my goal to put the radiator in the front, i will take some pics of clearance ect. i live in puyallup WA, ive only pulled my motor and pulled the oil pan, other than that its going to be like a month before its done, i need to find a crank from someone and i think im going to put acl race bearings in it if someone who is buying it before rebuild is complete but if no one speaks up on dibs im putting regular acl bearings in it or something cheap.
