Haha, you gotta put in the time as a grunt, being cannon fodder.kimokalihi wrote:Yeah, well that's why I'm hoping to get into the multiplayer this time. I play counter-strike source, L4D and Team Fortress 2 online. But when I played MWF2 I died so fast I couldn't get better at the game and it pissed me off that the people who were really good at it earned all the perks which only made it easier for them to kill me and thus making it harder for me to get any gameplay in and get better at it. So I said fuck it, I'll go play Valve games.
So after 3 hours of utter frustration and cursing and nearly throwing my wireless laser mouse across the room, I finallly got to play my game. Only to find out it suffered similar problems that World at War had with the loading videos. The briefings on both games lagged so bad it was unwatchable. I don't know what the hell is wrong with it. On World at War I first thought it froze up because it wouldn't respond and the video wasn't playing but after litterally 2 or 3 mins of being frozen it finally loaded the game and skipped the video. On MWF2 the video plays great while the little loading bar fills up on the bottom of the screen but as soon as the bar is full it starts lagging like mad and you have to skip the video because it's unbearable.Certain Steam issues may be corrected by renaming the ClientRegistry.blob and restarting Steam.
1) Completely exit from the Steam client.
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Steam (or the Steam directory that was specified during installation).
3) Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob.
4) Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated.
5) Test the issue once more.
