Avatars and Images in signatures

We've discussed this, and while it's kind of fun to have pictures and avatars, for the sake of the bandwidth on the server and the percentage of people that use dialup accounts, Avatars will remain disabled and i'm going to ask that you refrain from linking images into your signatures.

I've already modified one user's sig to remove an image that was 18kb, which would take 4-6 seconds to load on a 56k modem. No harm, no foul, but based on my experiences with other message boards that let things run wild, it's a safe bet to keep things as simple as possible.
