EJ22T Intake Manifold

Post by kimokalihi »

I've got a 92 or 93 intake manifold off an EJ22T engine. It's got some rust on the outside of it and it's a bit dirty but if you cleaned it up it'll work fine. I believe it even has 4 EJ22T injectors in it still. The harness has been chewed through by a rat or mouse and the coolant fill tank has a broken nipple.

No throttle body, I used it on my EJ20G engine.

$20, come pick it up. Get it out of my garage.

It's not on the engine anymore. I could get another picture or two if my camera wants to work.

I can if you pay all the shipping. $50 shipped. I'm not gonna make much off this and I'd almost rather just sell the injectors and bring the aluminum hunk of metal to the recycler and get money from them. Beats trying to package it up and sell it for dirt cheap.

FYI: Unless aluminum has gone way up from scrap metal prices of a few years ago, you'd be lucky to pay for a 6-pack of cheap beer. A whole engine block wasn't even worth it when I looked into it and I knew a guy I got good prices from.

Interesting. A few years ago I took a bunch of scrap metal including a ton of engine parts and a brand new honda accord v6 aluminum block to the recycling place and would have gotten a lot for it all but they gave me scrap prices because they weren't all perfectly clean and most of it had steel in it. The engine block still had sleeves in it so they wouldn't give me the aluminum price. I was pissed because I couldn't get the sleeves out of that block and it was brand new. I got it from my auto tech class. They were getting rid of some of their engines that were donated from honda and gm. I had a big ass GM v8 block that was new too. I was going to sell them but my teachers said there was something wrong with them and I couldn't sell them.

Yeah, once I would have stripped all the steel out of the Subaru block halfs (a real PITA) and cleaned it then hauled it down to Southie, I would have been lucky to get $60 or $70 (I can't remember exactly). I filled my entire back seat with boxes of scrap stainless steel clips from cell towers and got only about $35. Copper was the money metal.
