Looking for a gauge cluster

Post by Legacy777 »

I'm looking for a gauge cluster to do some testing with and was wondering if someone had one laying around they'd let go for cheap.

I'm wanting to check out the reed switch in there for the speedo and see if I can convert to the newer style speed sensor on the transmission, run that output to my Link and then send the signal to the gauge cluster....but need to do some testing.

Thanks
Josh

I think I have a spare spare for a '90-91 out in the parts car.

Only shows 146K, was planning to use it to make my POS a high $$ "low milage" Legacy... :-D

(edit- I suppose I could go ahead and swap the cluster out and send my 206K cluster...)

Make me an offer, think it may fit in one of the USPS flat rate boxes...

I'd prefer a 90-91 MY cluster....if possible.

Don't really care about the mileage.

Too bad I destroyed the cluster out of my car trying to take it apart for shits and giggles.

However, I like this idea.

Haha....kind of sounds like me....taking apart stuff for the heck of it...usually to see how it works :)

I'll keep ya posted if I pull this off. I'd like to get my speedo a little more accurate. It's reading a couple mph faster than what I'm going.

Josh,

I've got a cluster from a 90 Legacy AT if you need/want it. It's in great shape, left over from my conversion to MT.

Thanks,

No it didn't matter that it was for a manual or auto. I've got a couple offers now. If they fall through, I'll let you know.

Thanks
